Slack connection issues

If Slack won't connect or your integration stopped working, try these troubleshooting steps.

Common issues

  • Authorization failed — You may not have admin permissions in Slack. Ask your Slack workspace admin to connect the integration.

  • Connection expired — Slack tokens can expire. Disconnect and reconnect the integration in Settings → Integrations.

  • Contacts not syncing — Check that automatic sync is enabled in the Slack integration settings.

  • Can't import members — Verify that Smiile has permission to access your Slack workspace member list.

Reconnect Slack

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations

  2. Click Disconnect next to Slack

  3. Click Connect Slack again

  4. Sign in and authorize Smiile

Disconnecting Slack does not delete imported contacts. They remain in your Smiile directory.
